NYS-ELC: New York State Experiential Learning in Computing
NYS-ELC is a Summer Professional Development Workshop supported by the NSF CS4ALL Program. This collaborative project brings together Rochester Institute of Technology, Syracuse University, and the University of Rochester. The workshop is designed to support high school teachers in teaching rapidly evolving computing topics, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, machine learning, cybersecurity, algorithmic bias, and accessible software design. Through hands-on, experiential learning, participants will explore classroom-ready resources and strategies they can adapt for their own courses. Workshop participant teachers will receive $1000 stipend supported by the NSF.
2026 NYS-ELC Summer PD Workshop Dates
July 13: Synchronous, 12 - 3 pm
July 14: Asynchronous, (Independent work based on guided instruction)
July 15: Synchronous, 12 - 3 pm
